Jane Fonda is writing a book about her life of political activism and current issues around climate change.
The book is titled What Can I Do? My Path from Climate Despair to Action and will be released on 28th July.
The synopsis reads: “Fonda weaves together the deeply personal lessons she’s learned from a lifetime of political activism alongside interviews she’s recently conducted with leading climate scientists and activists, including Annie Leonard of Greenpeace, who partnered with Fonda in developing ‘Fire Drill Fridays’. Most significantly, Fonda provides concrete solutions for what any citizen can do to combat the climate crisis in their community.”
Fonda said: “This is the last possible moment in history when changing course can mean saving lives and species on an unimaginable scale. It’s too late for moderation.”
In autumn 2019, the actress launched the “Fire Drill Friday” demonstrations in Washington, DC, protesting for government action on the climate crisis.
