Sesame Street has released a new animated video featuring Elmo to encourage kids to wash their hands during the coronavirus pandemic.

One of Elmo’s signature songs, the toothbrush classic Brushy Brush, has been updated to Washy Wash.

Meanwhile, Cookie Monster features in another of the 30-second ads that reminds kids to “wash hands now” before eating, playing sport or using the bathroom.

The adverts are being released globally, and are being translated in 19 languages.
