Mamma Mia producer Judy Craymer has been talking about the possibility of a third film, and whether Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! could be adapted for the stage.

Speaking to Baz Bamigboye, Craymer said she had intended to spend lockdown thinking about whether there could be a third film, “but then I got hit with Covid fog.”

“I think one day there will be another film, because there’s meant to be a trilogy, you see,” said Craymer.

“I know Universal would like me to do it,” she added, saying she wanted to use the four new Abba numbers Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus have written for the virtual concert they’ve planned with Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.

Craymer also wondered whether Here We Go Again could make a stage musical.  “It’s a thought,” she told Bamigboye.
