Ammonite starring Kate Winslet and Saorise Ronan will close this year’s BFI London Film Festival.
Directed by Francis Lee, the film is inspired by the life of British palaeontologist Mary Anning, played by Kate Winslet, and centres on the romantic relationship between Anning and Charlotte Murchison, played by Saoirse Ronan.
The film will receive its UK premiere on Saturday 17th October and will be available to UK audiences at cinemas across UK who will also enjoy a virtual introduction from Lee and key cast.
