The BBC is putting together an all-star cast for a new version of Brideshead Revisited.
According to Baz Bamigboye, Andrew Garfield, Rooney Mara and Joe Alwyn are all set to star in the multipart drama that will air on both the BBC in the UK and HBO in the United States.
Ralph Fiennes and Cate Blanchett are also in talks to star in the production, which is being put together by Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagnino.
Garfield is expected to play Charles Ryder who befriends the aristocratic Sebastian Flyte — the ‘half-heathen’, teddy‑bear-loving son of a Catholic family who reside at a baroque stately home called Brideshead. Alwyn will play Flyte.
Filming is expected to begin in the spring.
