David Tennant, Rob, Brydon, Ariyon Bakare and Joe Sugg have joined the cast of Sky Cinema’s adaptation of Sir Terry Pratchett’s award-winning children’s novel, The Amazing Maurice.

They join Hugh Laurie, Emilia Clarke, David Thewlis, Himesh Patel, Gemma Arterton and Hugh Bonneville in the film.

The film follows Maurice, a streetwise ginger cat who comes up with a money-making scam by befriending a group of self-taught talking rats.

When Maurice and the rodents reach the stricken town of Bad Blintz, they meet a bookworm called Malicia and their little con soon goes down the drain.

The Amazing Maurice is due to be released in 2022.
