A new book about surreal BBC comedy series Inside No 9 will be released later this year.
The show’s creators and stars Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton have collaborated with author Mark Salisbury on the title, The Insider’s Guide To Inside No. 9.
The 256-page book will cover the first five series of the BBC Two anthology. A seventh series has already been written and is expected to film later this year.
The book is described as a show-by-show guide that reveals the genesis of each episode’s idea through to the scripting, casting, design, direction, and production.
The book’s official blurb reads: “Filled with the show’s dark humour and behind-the-scenes photographs, production stills, mood boards and concept drawings, you’ll find yourself delighted and disturbed in equal measure. Every episode from the first five series will be covered by interviews with key creatives and discussion of the inspiration and creation behind every moment.”
The Insider’s Guide to Inside No 9 will be published on 28th October.
