Multi-award winning actress Michaela Coel is joining the cast of the Black Panther sequel.

Details about her role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever haven’t been revealed.

The film is currently in production, with much of the cast of the original including Lupita Nyong’o,  Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Daniel Kaluuya, and Winston Duke, expected to return.

While nothing is known about the plot of the sequel, it is expected to acknowledge the loss of star Chadwick Boseman.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is due to be released in July 2022.
