The BBC has released the first images of its new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations.

The drama stars Finn Whitehead as Pip, Shalom Brune-Franklin as Estella and Olivia Colman as Miss Haversham. It has been adapted by Steven Knight.

The cast also includes Ashley Thomas, Johnny Harris, Hayley Squires, Owen McDonnell, Trystan Gravelle, Rudi Dharmalingam and Matt Berry.

The series will be shown on BBC One and iPlayer in the UK. No official details about when it’ll be shown have been announced, but expect it to be sometime during the festive season.
