Emma Thompson has signed on to lead the cast of new action thriller, The Fisherwoman.

She’ll play the widow of a fisherman who, while trapped in a Minnesotan blizzard, interrupts the kidnapping of a teenager and soon finds she is the young victim’s only hope.

The film is being directed by Brian Kirk, co-creator of Luther.
