The Rings of Power actress Morfydd Clark has signed on star in a biopic of acclaimed British musician Dame Evelyn Glennie.

Glennie experienced profound hearing loss as a child but has gone on to become a global music star, releasing more than 40 albums and performing over 2,500 concerts worldwide.

The film is said to already be in pre-production will filming expected to begin in the spring.

The film will be directed by Hope Dickson Leach.
