Warner Bros Discovery boss David Zaslev has revealed the planned TV Harry Potter TV series is a couple of years away.

The series is expected to span seven seasons, adapting each book in JK Rowling’s best-selling fantasy book series.

“We’ve not been shy about our excitement around Harry Potter,” Zaslav said.

He added that he has been in the UK to meet with Rowling about plans for the show. “Both sides are just thrilled to be reigniting this franchise. Our conversations were great, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead,” said Zaslev. “We can’t wait to share a decade of new stories with fans around the world on Max.”

What that means for fans in the UK, where Max isn’t available, remains to be seen.
