Hugh Jackman has signed on to play English folk hero Robin Hood in a new telling of his story.

Jackman will star alongside Jodie Comer in The Death of Robin Hood.

The film follows Robin as a loner who is grappling with his past life of crime and murder. He finds himself gravely injured and in the hands of a mysterious woman who offers him a chance at salvation.

It will be directed by Michael Sarnoski and is due to begin filming in February 2025.
