As fans eagerly await what’s been promised to be the last ever episode of Gavin & Stacey, it’s been reported a special behind-the-scenes documentary will also be released.

The report in the Mail on Sunday says cast members James Corden, Ruth Jones and Joanna Page have all been seen with a camera crew in tow on set in Wales.

It quotes a ‘source’ on set as saying: “When the cameras filming Gavin & Stacey stopped, other cameras went on to film the behind-the-scenes action.

“There was loads of lovely footage for the programme; it has been so special for its viewers. James is astute and realises that there is a wonderful story to be told about the making of it and what goes on behind the scenes.”

The final episode of the show is expected to be broadcast on BBC One on Christmas Day.
