Actor Colin Morgan has signed a deal to publish his debut novel, The Ballad of Ronan McCoy.

The book is described as a “tender coming-of-age story” about friendship and first love.

It follows 16-year-old Brendan who is excited to start his final year of school with his best friend, Ronan. But when Ronan does not arrive on the first day, Brendan’s life is irrevocably changed.

The novel will be published in June 2026.
