Susan Sarandon is to star alongside Andrea Riseborough at the Old Vic in London this autumn.
The pair will lead the cast of Tracy Letts’ play Mary Page Marlowe, which is described as a “vivid, time-jumping mosaic of one woman’s life”, where five performers portray the titular character at different ages.
Speaking about treading the boards for the first time in London, Oscar-winner Sarandon said: “I’m so honoured to be asked to be in a play during Matthew Warchus’ final season at the Old Vic. Terrified but excited.”
Mary Page Marlowe runs from 23rd September to 1st November. Tickets will go on general sale from midday on 4th July.
