Emma Thompson is to lead the cast of an audio sequel to Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility.
Becoming Meg Dashwood, which will be released by Audible, picks up where Sense and Sensibility ended, in what is described as a “riotous, rebellious period drama about female friendship, sexuality and liberation.”
Adolescence’s Erin Doherty will play Meg, alongside Naomi Ackie, Jessica Gunning and Golda Rusheuvel.
The cast will also include Greg Wise and Imelda Staunton, who both starred alongside Thompson in the Ang Lee-directed film of the book.
No details about when the drama will be released have been announced.
