Richard Donner, director of The Goonies, has revealed he’s working on turning the much-loved film into a theatre production.

Donner says he’s working on turning the cult-classic into an ‘immersive theatre experience’.

His plan is for the show to take place in a warehouse, with no seats, where the audience would follow the cast on their epic adventure.

Donner says it will take another year or so to develop.

Anyone else think it sounds Secret Cinema-esque?
