It’s a day of multiple award winners at the BFI London Film Festival today wth both Oscar and Emmy winners expected.
The day’s big gala is Trumbo, the story of screenwriter Dalton Trumbo whose Hollywood career was brought to a halt by the McCarthy era.
Stars Bryan Cranston, Helen Mirren and John Goodman will walk the red carpet at tonight’s gala screening at Odeon Leicester Square.
Director Cary Fukunaga will be at the premiere of his new film, Beasts of No Nation. Idris Elba (sadly not due to attend) stars as a war Lord who trains a young boy to join his army. It’s Netflix’s first big film release.
Thelma and Louise star Geena Davis will be at BFI Southbank this afternoon to discuss her foundation and her career as part of the festival’s Screen Talks strand.
