The UK premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been confirmed for Wednesday December 16. it will take place at a central London location, with the exact venue still tba.

A whole galaxy (sorry) of stars from the cast are expected including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhem, Gwendoline Christie, Warwick Davis and Simon Pegg (yes, he pops up in the film).

They’ll all be joined on the red carpet by director JJ Abrams and it’s thought George Lucas will also attend the London premiere. Apparently he’s now seen the film and “really liked it”.

I fully expect this will be the biggest premiere of the year, if not one of the biggest London has ever seen…
