Weekly catch-up – March 20

Every week I get sent lots of content for the site that I just don’t have time to post straight away.

So from now on, every week I’ll post a weekly catch-up containing everything I didn’t have time to post earlier.

This week I’ve got trailers for Now You See Me 2 and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children as well as the new poster for David Brent: Life on the Road, Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling promising to be “not that nice” and lots more…

So let’s start with trailers. First up, Tim Burton takes us into the slightly odd Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. The film stars  Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Chris O’Dowd, Ella Purnell, Allison Janney, Rupert Everett, Terence Stamp, Judi Dench and Samuel L Jackson. It’s released in the UK in the autumn.

Also of the magical variety is Now You See Me 2. Jesse Eisenberg,  Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Lizzy Caplan, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine return and they’re joined by Daniel Radcliffe. He knows a thing or two about magic… This one’s released on July 4.

If that’s not your thing, why not take a leap with The Legend of Tarzan? Alexander Skarsgard stars as the King of the Jungle in David Yates’s take on the classic story. Margot Robbie, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L Jackson, John Hurt and Djimon Honsou co-star in the film which is released on July 8.

I’ve had an absolute plethora of posters taking up space in my in-box this week. Ricky Gervais brings back David Brent in Life on the Road.

Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons are joined by Stephen Fry and Toby Jones in The Man Who Knew Infinity.

Finally, Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling had really good banter when they presented together at the Oscars, so I have high hopes for The Nice Guys – even if they’re not that nice as the poster suggests…
