Captain Marvel actress Lashana Lynch is said to be in final talks to join the cast of the new film based on Matilda The Musical.
Lynch, who is also among the cast of the new Bond film No Time to Die, is reportedly set to play Miss Honey in the film, which will be directed by Matthew Warchus.
The musical is based on the Roald Dahl classic about a precocious and gifted 5-year-old, who uses her powers of telekinesis to overcome bullies, including her family, and protect her friends.
Lynch joins Ralph Fiennes who is expected to play Matilda’s awful headteacher, Miss Turnbull.
