The official first look at Emily Blunt in the big screen adaptation of The Girl on the Train has been released.

Blunt stars as Rachel, who is devastated by her recent divorce, and spends her daily commute fantasising about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds.

The cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Justin Theroux, Haley Bennett, Luke Evans, Edgar Ramirez and Allison Janney. The film is directed by Tate Taylor and based on the novel by Paula Hawkins.

It’s released in UK cinemas on October 7.
