I think the trailer to Damien Chazelle’s new film La La Land might be one of the best of the year.

It’s evocative, dreamy and I was singing the song for hours after my first watch.

La La Land tells the story of Mia (Emma Stone), an aspiring actress, and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts.

The cast also includes John Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt, Finn Wittrock, Callie Hernandez, Sonoya Mizuno, Jessica Rothe, Tom Everett Scott and Josh Pence

I loved Chazelle’s breakthrough film Whiplash so I’m excited to see this.

No official date for the UK yet – but I expect to see it get an awards season run.
