Will Smith’s latest film looks to be gunning for awards by the look of the first trailer.
Smith plays a “brilliant, creative, charismatic guy” who used to love life but now hates it since the death of his young daughter.
His character, Howard, spends lots of time writing letters, not to people but to “things” as a means of therapy. Before long he is “gifted” with personifications of Love, Time and Death, who give him a chance to “live again.”
The film also stars Edward Norton, Keira Knightley, Michael Pena, Naomie Harris, Jacob Latimore, Kate Winslet and Helen Mirren and is directed by David Frankel.
It’s released in the US in December 16.
