Gavin & Stacey star Ruth Jones will star in a new stage production of The Nightingales later this year.

Directed by Christopher Luscombe, the play follows Maggie (Jones) as she turns up for her first day rehearsing as part of a local acapella group.

The show opens at Theatre Royal Bath on 31st October before touring to Cambridge, Cardiff, Chichester and Malvern prior to a West End transfer, with venue and dates to be announced. Further casting for the show is also to be announced.

It’s rare to see Jones on stage – she is of course most famous fr co-creating and starring in Gavin & Stacey, as well as Stella on Sky One.
