Here’s the first look at Taron Egerton as Elton John in up mug biopic Rocketman.

The film is currently in production in the UK.

Bodyguard star Richard Madden is playing John Reid, the singer’s former lover and manager; Jamie Bell takes on the role of Bernie Taupin, who wrote a catalogue of hits with Elton, and Bryce Dallas Howard and Steven Mackintosh are his parents.

Rocketman is being directed by Dexter Fletcher, who told Baz Bamigboye: “It’s about Elton navigating personal and family relationships. He looks for love in all the wrong places, he abuses himself with drugs and booze – yet he’s a genius who has survived for over half a century in showbusiness.”
