George RR Martin is heading to London for the first time in five years.
He’ll be appearing at a special event on Thursday 8th August to promote his latest book Fire and Blood.
The 736-page novel is set 300 years before the events in the series A Song of Ice and Fire, and is “the definitive history of the Targaryens, the last remaining dragonlords, in Westeros as told by Archmaester Gyldayn, and “chronicles the conquest that united the Seven Kingdoms under Targaryen rule through the Dance of the Dragons.
It follows “the Targaryen civil war that nearly ended their dynasty forever” and “addresses unanswered questions”.
General admissions costs £18, or its £35 if you want a copy of the book too.
All details are available via Waterstones’ website.
