Showrunner and creator of Disney Plus’ The Mandalorian Jon Favreau has confirmed the series will return for a second season.
In a post on Twitter, Favreau revealed the show will return in autumn 2020 and also introduced a new character.
The first season of the show has taken social media by storm, in particular the character known as #BabyYoda.
Favreau had previously teased that shooting on season 2 was already underway. The figurine in Favreau’s Tweet is a Gamorrean, a pig-lizard species which guarded Jabba the Hut in earlier Star Wars films, hinting that season 2 might explore their native planet of Gamorr, or perhaps even venture into Jabba’s palace on Tatooine.
