The first trailer for the new adaptation of Rebecca has been released by Netflix.

The film is directed by Ben Wheatley and stars Armie Hammer, Lily James and Kristin Scott Thomas.

Based on the novel by Daphne du Maurier, the story follows a young newlywed who arrives at her husband’s imposing family estate on a windswept English coast and finds herself battling the shadow of his first wife Rebecca, whose legacy lives on in the house long after her death.

Rebecca will debut on Netflix on 21st October.
