According to reports, Mads Mikkelsen is in talks to replace Johnny Depp in the Fantastic Beasts movies.

Last week it was announced Depp was standing down from his role as Gellert Grindelwald after Warner Bros requested he leave the franchise.

Filming is already underway on the third Fantastic Beasts film, it’s believed Depp had only shot one scene, and producers are keen to fill the role as soon as possible.

There had been speculation Colin Farrell might return to the franchise, but he’s busy working on the new Batman movie.

Personally, I think Mikkelsen would be a great addition to the cast. He plays menacing so brilliantly, and might help perk up the franchise after what I thought was a very disappointing second film.
