The release date for the second Downton Abbey film has been revealed as production gets under way.

It will arrive in cinemas on 22nd December.

As expected, all of the original cast are back, and they’re joined by Dominic West, Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, and Nathalie Baye.

No plot details have been revealed.

Gareth Neame, the film’s producer, said: “After a very challenging year with so many of us separated from family and friends, it is a huge comfort to think that better times are ahead and that next Christmas we will be re-united with the much beloved characters of Downton Abbey.”
