PBS and BritBox have announced plans for a second and third season of Sanditon.
The drama, which is based on Jane Austen’s final, unfinished novel, will also air on ITV in the UK after premiering on BritBox.
The drama will continue to follow the high-spirited and independent heroine, Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams) as she returns to the picturesque coastal resort of Sanditon.
Against the backdrop of beautiful vistas, familiar faces return and new inhabitants are introduced — all of whom will be having adventures.
Filming on the two new seasons is expected to get underway later this year.
