The trailer for a new film starring James McAvoy and Claire Foy about a father’s desperation in finding his son who has been kidnapped has been released.

My Son is a remake of a French film, and sees McAvoy improvising all of his scenes in the movie.

He wasn’t given a script or dialogue and was only aware of basic aspects of his story. The idea is that both his character and the audience experience the film’s twists and turns at the same time.

The cast also includes Gary Lewis and Tom Cullen.

My Son will be released in the US on streaming service Peacock on 15th September. A UK release is tba.
