David Tennant is to play Macbeth for the first time in a new audio drama for BBC Radio 4.

He will star alongside Daniela Nardini as Lady Macbeth, as well as Stuart McQuarrie as Banquo, Alec Newman as Macduff and Naana Agyei-Ampadu as Lady Macduff.

The first part of the drama will be broadcast on Radio 4 on Saturday 23rd April to coincide with William Shakespeare’s birthday.

The second part will follow on the 24th, and both parts will be available to listen to on BBC Sounds.
