TV host Stephen Mulhern is writing his first book, all about a young boy and magic,

Inspired by Mulhern’s own life, Max Magic tells the story of Max Mullers, an aspiring magician who needs the help of his friends and a pinch of magic to get the bullies off his back.  

He has written the book with children’s author Tom Easton.

Mulhern called the series a “passion project based on my own story”.

“I had a tough time at school and didn’t always believe in myself,” he explained. “Magic was my way of finding my confidence. I hope this book will make a lot of kids laugh and help them to feel braver, bolder and discover that anything is possible—just like Max.”

Magic Max is due to be released on 1st September.
