Disney+ has unveiled a first-look teaser trailer for its eight-part series, Rivals, based on the novel by Jilly Cooper.

Set against the backdrop of the drama, excess, and shocking antics of the power-grabbing social elite of 1980s England, Rivals delves headfirst into the ruthless world of independent television in 1986.

The show stars David Tennant, Aidan Turner, Katherine Parkinson, Emily Atack, Danny Dyer, Oliver Chris, Rufus Jones and Luke Pasquilino.

It will be released later this year.
