Meet Pete’s Dragon
One of the films I’m most intrigued about this year is the remake of Pete’s Dragon.
Based on the 1977 Disney film, the remake is directed by David Lowery.
The film will blend live action and CGI to tell the story of the special bond between an orphaned boy, Pete, and his best friend, Elliott, who just happens to be a dragon.
Kimmy’s coming back for more
One of the best shows to launch on Netflix last year was The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Milking the Harry Potter cow dry
Is it just me who’s starting to get fed-up with the constant attempts to keep making money out of Harry Potter?
First it was the Fantastic Beasts films, then the Cursed Child play, then the announcement you could get the book of the play (which immediately shot to the top of the bestseller charts).
Now, there’s another Harry Potter initiative – this time a film concert series which will tour the US later this year.
Ron Howard to direct RDJ’s Pinocchio?
Now this could be good – Ron Howard could be set to direct a new version of Pinocchio, starring Robert Downey Jr.
Tennant and Smith set for Wizard World
Doctor Who stars David Tennant and Matt Smith will both attend the Wizard World fan convention in New York in April.
They’ll be joined at the event by a number of their Who co-stars.
