Martin Freeman will lead the cast of a new British film based on the stage play Ghost Stories.
The film is being made by co-directors Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson and will begin shooting in Yorkshire at the end of October.
The Sherlock star will be joined in the cast by Paul Whitehouse and Nyman, who will reprise his role of Professor Goodman from the stage production.
The story follows a letter sent from beyond the grave to a sceptical professor of psychology that sets off an investigation into the mysterious disappearance of his mentor.
Ghost Stories will be in cinemas in 2017.
