Johnny Depp will lead the cast of a new film about the investigation into the murders of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls.

Labyrinth is about Russell Poole,p (played by Depp), the LA detective who the towards the end of the 1990s investigated the unsolved assassinations of hip-hop icons Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls.

Poole encountered endless dead ends, but his work uncovered corruption in the LAPD that rocked the force to its core.

The film is being directed by Brad Furman with production expected to begin later this year.
