Maggie Smith, Kathy Bates and Laura Linney have joined the cast of The Miracle Club, a new film about a group of working-class Dubliners who go on pilgrimage to France.

The drama is being directed by Thaddeus O’Sullivan.

According to co-writer Josh Maurier, the film captures “the strength, resilience and love of remarkable woman as they define themselves under their own terms, and by the power of their friendship and faith.”

Filming is due to begin at the start of April.
