Former England and Manchester United will be the subject of a new documentary from the makers of Maradona, Make Us Dream and Supersonic.
Rooney will be a feature length documentary that lifts the lid on an the player from a young boy with dreams to a worldwide star.
The film will feature personal archive footage and interviews with talking heads from across the world of football and beyond.
It will also offer an intimate window into Wayne’s world at home, on and off the pitch and in quiet moments of reflection.
Wayne Rooney said: “I’m excited to be the subject of this documentary. This is a film that looks in detail at my journey: the highs, the lows, the beautiful game, finally I have the opportunity to show the person I really am.”
