Jamie Lee Curtis and Jake Gyllenhaal will lead the cast of Letters from Camp, a new comedy podcast series aimed at teenagers.
The show will also star Sunny Sandler, Edi Patterson, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.
Letters From Camp is due to launch in August via Audible. It will be eight episodes long.
The series follows Mookie Hooper (Sandler), who doesn’t quite fit in at school. With a world-renowned reporter mother, Mookie is eager to prove she can follow in the family business as an investigative journalist. So when Mookie learns about the mysterious case of a girl who went missing from Camp Cartwright, she becomes determined to uncover the truth during her summer in Maine.
The story is told via Mookie’s letters home from camp.
“In my years as a children’s book author, and through my film roles, I’ve formed an eye for what works with kids: genuine, funny, relatable characters,” said Curtis. “Now I’m using my ear for children’s entertainment as I turn my attention toward the immersive, emerging, audio format.”
