Netflix has released the first images from its upcoming adaptation of Daphe du Maurier’s novel, Rebecca.
Directed by Ben Wheatley, it stars Lily James and Armie Hammer abd tells the story of a newly-married woman who arrives at her husband’s bleak coastal estate only to find she’s overshadowed by his previous wife.
The novel was first adapted for the screen in 19490 when Alfred Hitchock directed a version starring Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine.
Starring alongside Hammer and James are Kristin Scott Thomas, Tom Goodman-Hill, Keeley Hawes, Sam Riley and Ann Dowd.
Rebecca will be released on Netflix on 21st October.
