Acting royalty from both sides of the pond are getting together for an evening in aid of the Royal Theatrical Fund.

Kathleen Turner met Maggie Smith in 2000 while they were performing in adjacent theatres in London’s West End – Smith in The Lady in the Van at the Queens Theatre, and Turner in The Graduate at the Gielgud Theatre.  

A series of pre/post show dinners evolved into a friendship which has endured the intervening 20 years.

Now the pair are joining forces for a evening of chat about their careers on stage and screen, hosted by Gyles Brandreth,
