Just over a year ago the film adaptation of Veronica Roth’s novel Divergent hit cinemas. It went on to gross over $288 million at the global box office and the sequel, Insurgent, will be released in just a few weeks. At the time of the first film’s release most of the cast weren’t on – lot of film fans radars, apart from Shailene Woodley. What a difference a year makes…
Bono, Bill Clinton and Paul McCartney are among the contributors to a new anthology book about fathers and sons.
Here’s our first proper look at Sir Ian McKellen as Sherlock Holmes in his new film, Mr Holmes.
Sir Ian plays the super sleuth as a 93-year-old now living in retirement with his housekeeper (Laura Linney) and her son.
But Sherlock is still haunted by a case he never solved (shock!) and sets out to search for the truth once and for all – but without the aid of his trusty Dr Watson.
The film is directed by Bill Condon who worked with McKellen on the brilliant Gods And Monsters. It will have its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival next month and should be in cinemas later this year.
This week it’s been announced the second series of Broadchurch will begin on ITV on January 5.
I was absolutely hooked by the first series, I thought it was a brilliant drama, even if we did all guess whodunnit!
Well now there’s more good news for fans as a series of digital short stories tied into each episode of the new series are being released.
Each e-book will be released at midnight following the Monday night episode and will include characters featured in that night’s episode, delving deeper into their lives.
I think this is a brilliant idea!
Game of Thrones fans, Westeros needs you!

Fans whose work is chosen will receive a copy of the book with their name listed as a contributor.
To find out more visit gameofthronescompendium.com. The book should be released in 2015.
