Coldplay does Game of Thrones
If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the video of Coldplay’ spoof Game of Thrones musical.
The special was recorded for Red Nose Day in th US and great urges everyone from Kit Harrington to Emilia Clarke and even Mark Addy. It’s a fun watch for Thrones fans.
Tony Awards announce first set of performers
Kristin Chenoweth, Ken Watanabe, Vanessa Hudgens and Matthew Morrison are among the first set of performers announced for this year’s Tony Awards.
They’ll be joined on stage during the annual awards show on June 7 by Brian d’Arcy James, Chita Rivera, Kelli O’Hara, Kelsey Grammer and
Tyne Daly.
This year’s show is being hosted by Chenoweth and Alan Cumming.
Pan – new trailer
The brand new trailer for Joe Wright’s Peter Pan origin story Pan has been released.
It stars Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund, Rooney Mara, Amanda Seyfried, Cara Delevingne and newcomer Levi Miller.
The film is an action-adventure that sees young Peter spirited away to Neverland where he faces both fun and danger and ultimately his destiny to be the Boy Who Never Grew Up.
Pan is released in the UK on October 16.
Steve Jobs – trailer
Here’s our first look at Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs.
The film is directed by Danny Boyle and written by Aaron Sorkin (who’s quite good at writing about tech geniuses). The cast also includes Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen and Jeff Daniels.
Steve Jobs is released in the UK in November – which I think makes it an obvious contender for this year’s London Film Festival.

Countdown to Cannes
It’s that time of year again when the movie world spotlight shifts from the West Coast of America to a small town on the French Riviera. The 68th International Cannes Film Festival kicks off on Wednesday and runs until May 24. As always with Cannes, it’s as much about the parties and being ‘seen’ as it is about the films themselves.
