TV channel Gold is set to reveal Britain’s Greatest Comedy Character in a new one-off programme.

The show, hosted by Sally Phillips, will see members of the public vote for their favourite before a jury of comedians, journalists and actors, writers and critics whittles them down and ranks the final top 30.

The one-off will air on Gold in 2020.
