Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s new TV series Run will be available in the UK after it was confirmed to launch on Sky Comedy.
Waller-Bridge is producing the show for HBO in the US, and Sky has confirmed it will broadcast in the UK on its new channel which launches on Monday.
The show is about ex-lovers who made a pact 15 years ago that if they ever needed to escape life, they could send each other a simple text message – ‘RUN’ – and impulsively disappear together.
Merritt Wever plays a woman called Ruby, who is living a humdrum existence until she receives that text, while Domhnall Gleeson stars as Billy Johnson, a successful life guru from a wealthy Irish family.
Waller-Bridge, who is also one of the executive producers, will have a recurring role as a character named Flick.
No launch date for the show in the US or UK has been confirmed yet.
