Who’s presenting at the Academy Awards?
The Oscars have begun revealing which celebs will be given the somewhat daunting task of presenting during this year’s ceremony.
I say daunting because we all know what happened with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway and a certain envelope last year.
Some of Hollywood’s biggest names will be taking to the stage at the Hollywood and Highland Centre on March 4th.
They include:
Stephen King pens Charlie the Choo-Choo
Stephen King has written a picture book based on a story he first mentioned in Dark Tower.
Double McConaughey
Sometimes you wait ages for a new Matthew McConaughey trailer, and then two come along at once.
His two new films couldn’t be more different. One is about a group of singing animals, the other an epic Civil War drama.
Matthew McConaughey is on the watch
The poster for Matthew McConaughey’s new film, The Free State of Jones, has been released.
Films to watch out for in 2016
The start of a new year always prompts me to take a look at some of the cinematic offerings our local multiplexes will have on offer over the next 12 months.
This is a rundown of the film’s I’m looking forward to in the coming year. NB, I’ve only chosen films which have confirmed UK release dates.
From Captain America v Iron Man to the first Star Wars spin-off via Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in a musical, hopefully there’s a film here to pique your interest.

This year’s Oscars will also feature lots of music performances. We don’t know much about them yet but do know Jack Black, Anna Kendrick and Jennifer Hudson will take to the stage for a ‘very special sequence’.
Plus, Lady Gaga has also been added to the list of performers.
“We’re creating several musical sequences for the Oscars and we couldn’t be happier that our friend, Jennifer Hudson, will be performing in one of them,” producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement.
